- Shape. Nits are oval-shaped and have a teardrop-like appearance. They are tiny, measuring about 0.8 mm in length, making them barely visible to the naked eye.
- Texture. Nits have a hard, shell-like texture. Unlike dandruff or other debris, they are not easily crushed between your fingers.
